Bittercube Door County Hop
Bittercube is proud to announce this limited release of Door County Hop Bitters. Made with fresh Chinook and Cascade hops exclusively from Door Peninsula Hops located in Jacksonport, Door County, these bitters are bright and aromatic.
The Cascade Hop is considered a "Classic American" hop. It is a versitile hop with a citrus-floral character. In brewing beer, it is used primarily as a flavor and aroma finishing hop, but with a moderate 4.5 - 7% alpha acid level, it can also be used as a bittering hop.
The Chinook Hop is also an American hop. With alpha acids at 11 - 13%, it has a high bittering potential. The Chinook is used in brewing beer primarily as a bittering hop, but can also be used for its intense aroma. It imparts a spicy pine-like taste.
Traditional beer ingredients were used in the production of these bitters such as Yarrow Herb and Feverfew. Floral components including Heater Flowers and Lemongrass were also utilized, while honey was chosen as a finishing agent. We hope you enjoy these bright, floral, hoppy slow-crafted Midwest bitters.
